Pregnancy Journal Entry 4/16/2010

Friday, April 16, 2010. 27 1/2 weeks. Well, the past couple of weeks have been busy with appointments. I saw Dr. P last week, and that was fine and uneventful. She gave me the orders for my glucose test and had me schedule my rhogham shot as I am A- blood type. All 3 kids so far have been +, A, A, O,

So on Monday I went in for mt 1-hour glucose test, and found out Wednesday night that I failed it :(. So I spent nearly 4 hours in and out of the lab today. I had to fast for 12 hours, then they did a fasting draw, I drank the drink, then draws at 1 hour, 2 hours, and 3 hours. When the results come back next week, they will know if I have gestational diabetes, or if the one hour test was just a fluke. If 2 or more of readings are abnormal, I get labeled. I begged them just to let me re-take the one hour test, but they don't do that.

Here is my pregnancy journal.

First Day 4th Grade!

Bye Bye Birdie!

Tom was Ed Sullivan in the production this weekend of Bye Bye Birdie!  Kate donned her sock-hop costume from 5th grade to embrace the spirit of the show. For those of you unfamiliar with the musical,  Bye Bye Birdie is set in 1958 and was influenced by Elvis Presley being drafted into the Army in 1957.    Congrats, Tom!!

100 days left

We have just over 100 days left in the UK.  The kids are super excited to get back to the States, and we are too.  We have had a great time here, but look forward to being 'home'. This is the last week of term, and only term 3 left!  The last term supposedly goes fast, as the weather improves, there are Suzuki concerts, the talent show, and lots of field trips. We have some travel still lined up, plus some visitors to join us - looking forward to seeing you, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Aaron!  Stayed tuned for pictures of our last few adventures. We are starting to get the ball rolling on movers and pet shippers and all that fun stuff.  And we have to have the whole flat cleaned once our stuff is out. One step at a time!
