Tom's first EEG

Tom had his first EEG on 3/11 since he had a seizure at home on 3/8.  It is a really cool process to understand how the brain works.   The tech spends about 30 minutes adding all the wires and wrapping it all up.  Then they do things to see what would trigger a seizure - strobes lights, hyperventilation, and transitions into/out of sleep.

On EEG days Tom has to stay up until midnight the night before and then get up at 5am.  We went to get donuts before this test.  He said he wasn't nervous but it took him an hour to fall asleep!

First Day 4th Grade!

Bye Bye Birdie!

Tom was Ed Sullivan in the production this weekend of Bye Bye Birdie!  Kate donned her sock-hop costume from 5th grade to embrace the spirit of the show. For those of you unfamiliar with the musical,  Bye Bye Birdie is set in 1958 and was influenced by Elvis Presley being drafted into the Army in 1957.    Congrats, Tom!!

100 days left

We have just over 100 days left in the UK.  The kids are super excited to get back to the States, and we are too.  We have had a great time here, but look forward to being 'home'. This is the last week of term, and only term 3 left!  The last term supposedly goes fast, as the weather improves, there are Suzuki concerts, the talent show, and lots of field trips. We have some travel still lined up, plus some visitors to join us - looking forward to seeing you, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Aaron!  Stayed tuned for pictures of our last few adventures. We are starting to get the ball rolling on movers and pet shippers and all that fun stuff.  And we have to have the whole flat cleaned once our stuff is out. One step at a time!
