School is going well!

We are into the second week of hybrid school, and so far it is going well.  The kids have all separately made comments like, "I liked school today" or similar.

Since their schedules are all wildly different, we have fewer people in the house at one time.  And the high schoolers are no longer here for band practice, which makes them very happy.

With the CDC changing requirements to only 3 feet apart for students, it looks like all the schools will be back full time in the fall.

For now we will enjoy the slow ramp-up to 'regular' school.

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
