Tree Time

Paul and I heard a tree fall around 10:30 on Sunday night a couple of weeks ago (8/8).  I ran out to see what had happened... before I got to it, we heard a car screech to a not so graceful-stop in the tree and then realized it had fallen across the road :(.  Public works had it cleared in a couple of hours, and we had a tree crew cut and mulch it a couple of days later.  I know I had been asking for mulch, but this is not what I had in mind.

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
