Coronavirus ramblings

The past two weeks have been some of the strangest days of my life.

3/10 - The first restrictions on gatherings started to be published.  Not more than 50 people together.  We had a track dinner.
3/11- The Track team still had a track meet, but we weren't sure it would happen.
3/12 - Paul started working from home as the fi
3/13 - Schools in our area are called off until 4/7.
3/13 - I literally threw some clothes in a bag, asked Paul and Tom to pack some food, grabbed the dog, and headed out for Utah.
3/14 - I picked up Jack at Heritage
3/15 - Jack and I get caught in the worst snowstorm imaginable driving home from Reno.
3/16 - Heritage bans students from leaving
3/16 - Shelter in place rules enacted
3/16 - we embark on two weeks of homeschooling until spring break
3/25 - the school closures are extended to 5/1
3/26 - Happy 16 Kate!!

Coming soon:
3/27 - Spring break starts :).
April - Homeschool month!
5/1 - Will they really go back??

I waffle between wondering when i will wake up from this dream.  Wondering how our lives changed so quickly.  Thankful, oh so thankful, that Jack is home and that we are safe.  Wondering if Kate will ever get her license.  Mixing up all of the virus info from all of the pandemic movies I watch.....

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
