Miramonte Girls XC - Heading to State!

It was a crazy turn of events with the NCS meet canceled due to air quality as the Miramonte girls and other D4 teams were on the starting line, and the State competitors were decided by committee.  but, as expected, the Miramonte girls are heading to State!  Go Mats!!

Here are the D4 girls on the start line, from our vantage point behind the finish line.  The starter had his starting gun ready when he checked the AQI one more time, and the meet was called.

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
