2018 XC State pictures

The weather was perfect and the course wasn't too wet.  The team didn't run their best, but they ran :).   The past three weeks of smokey weather and treadmill workouts definitely took a toll on their performance.  Kate went out a little too fast and then had the rest of the 5k to finish. It was a good lesson for her.   Still, she finished 3rd for her team and of course had the awesome experience of running at State.

Kate's first mile was 5:49, so now she has a 5:20 goal for the 1500 in Track!  She just has that soccer season to get through first!  Practice starts tomorrow with two games this week.

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
