XC message from Coach Curry

Wanted to share the message Coach Curry sent to the team.  Kate asked for donuts :).

Congratulations to the 7/8 girls championship team. I've been involved in this sport for a long time and never seen a team rise to the challenge like these girls. Down two runners they ran tough and really showed what this sport is all about Teamwork and Toughness! Jamie, Shannon and Kate were top ten and ran fantastic. Sophia and Paige got us the points we needed from the 4/5 spots to secure the win. We needed everyone to give their best effort and they did. If someone gets tripped up and goes down we need that next runner to step up. Caitlin, Reese, Tara and Peyton all had great races. Hopefully Ella and Claire get healthy soon and back to running. They are a huge part of this team going back to last season and we wish they could have been there. This was a team that comes around once in a decade. Their championship banners will always hang in the gym and hopefully inspire the next generation of bulldog runners.

I will get sizes for championship tee-shirts and fulfill the requests for donuts as well.

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
