New Lawn ornament

I heard a loud noise on Friday while I was gardening, and I stopped pruning to look around.  But since I didn't hear any metal on metal, brakes squealing, or honking, I assumed the noise had come from the construction site two doors down - I thought they did something wrong :).

Imagine my surprise when I walked to the front yard and found this at the entrance to our driveway on Rheem Blvd.  The driver was ok, as was the driver of the other vehicle.  This one blew through the yield sign and hit a car turning left.  Luckily I was working in the backyard!  Now I have two sprinklers to dig up and repair, as not only did it take out the head's but also the piping underground.

First Day 4th Grade!

Bye Bye Birdie!

Tom was Ed Sullivan in the production this weekend of Bye Bye Birdie!  Kate donned her sock-hop costume from 5th grade to embrace the spirit of the show. For those of you unfamiliar with the musical,  Bye Bye Birdie is set in 1958 and was influenced by Elvis Presley being drafted into the Army in 1957.    Congrats, Tom!!

100 days left

We have just over 100 days left in the UK.  The kids are super excited to get back to the States, and we are too.  We have had a great time here, but look forward to being 'home'. This is the last week of term, and only term 3 left!  The last term supposedly goes fast, as the weather improves, there are Suzuki concerts, the talent show, and lots of field trips. We have some travel still lined up, plus some visitors to join us - looking forward to seeing you, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Aaron!  Stayed tuned for pictures of our last few adventures. We are starting to get the ball rolling on movers and pet shippers and all that fun stuff.  And we have to have the whole flat cleaned once our stuff is out. One step at a time!
