OMPA mobile

OMPA stands for Orinda-Moraga Pool Association, and refers to a 3-day swim meet at the end of the season.  Swimming is big here, and OMPA is the biggest event of the year.  Countless hours are spent gearing up (and tapering down) for this spectacle of swimming.  This is the first year we joined the festivities, and we even decorated the car :).

Jack, Will and Tom all swam.  Jack and Tom both had good races in free and back, but didn't drop time.  Will dropped 5 seconds in each event.  Meadow came in 2nd overall :).

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
