Mineral King Trip a Success

So after watching their go-pro videos I know that there is NO WAY I would have let the girl do most of this hike.

They backpacked 30 miles in Mineral King over 3 days.   Both wore packs about 35 pounds.

They describe the trip it as pushing your own physical and mental abilities to the limit.  Paul and Kate both talk to them selves in the go-pro videos, so I can hear how nervous they are, how fast they are breathing, and I can imagine their heart rates rising!  No injuries, aside from a few scrapes on their hands.

The pictures are amazing and here is one of my favorites.

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
