1 week, 2 XC meets, 40 degrees difference!

Kate has had cross country meets the past two Mondays, and the weather couldn't have been more different.

Last week it was 95 and brilliant sunshine, yesterday 55, clouds, and windy.  Kate is running well, placing 6th in the first meet, and 3rd yesterday.  OIS has an incredibly strong 7/8 girls team this year.  Yesterday at MCC they finished 1, 2, 3,  (all 7th graders) and then have a couple of other team mates rounding out the top 10.

Here's the 2016 OIS Cross Country Team.  Go Bulldogs!

First Day 4th Grade!

Bye Bye Birdie!

Tom was Ed Sullivan in the production this weekend of Bye Bye Birdie!  Kate donned her sock-hop costume from 5th grade to embrace the spirit of the show. For those of you unfamiliar with the musical,  Bye Bye Birdie is set in 1958 and was influenced by Elvis Presley being drafted into the Army in 1957.    Congrats, Tom!!

100 days left

We have just over 100 days left in the UK.  The kids are super excited to get back to the States, and we are too.  We have had a great time here, but look forward to being 'home'. This is the last week of term, and only term 3 left!  The last term supposedly goes fast, as the weather improves, there are Suzuki concerts, the talent show, and lots of field trips. We have some travel still lined up, plus some visitors to join us - looking forward to seeing you, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Aaron!  Stayed tuned for pictures of our last few adventures. We are starting to get the ball rolling on movers and pet shippers and all that fun stuff.  And we have to have the whole flat cleaned once our stuff is out. One step at a time!
