Diablo 4 Miler

Kate, Will and I ran the Diablo 4 Mile race this morning over in Clayton on Mt. Diablo.  It was a cool morning and a flat course, so Kate and Will both won their age groups.  Kate got 3rd overall female!!  The other racers were asking what high school she runs for :).

This was Will's first race, and it was a long one to start his running career.  He has been running with me this summer, and he has a 5k coming up in a few weeks.  Kate ran a 34 min, and Will and I ran in 48. Way to go!!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
