Tom's cooking class

The kids have all been helping in the kitchen a lot more lately, and it is fun to cook with them.  Tom draws the line at cutting onions, but he loves to help with other veg.  Thanks Grandpa Mike and Mamie for the cool kid's knives they share!

Our school offers a lot of after school activities just like Southbank did.  This session Jack and Will are in Chess club, Will is playing Lacrosse, and Tom is taking a kindergarten only cooking class.  Here are a couple of pictures that T's teacher took at yesterday's class.

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
