The boys are going to Glorietta!

We found out this week that the boys will get to go to the elementary school that is just a 4 minute walk from the house.  It is called Glorietta. (It does get a bit confusing with our road and school the same name!).

The school day schedule is actually different for all 3 boys, so I will be at the school A LOT!  But, it is way better than driving all over town.  I'm sure I'll still find time to go for some hikes with the dogs or work on my very high maintenance garden.  I am very spoiled by our CA life :).

Kate had WEB day at OIS today.  It was a 1/2 day program at the school including a tour and lunch.  She already knew quite a few people thanks to soccer and the pool.  The school seems very focused on creating well rounded people, not just students.  I thought it was an amazing perspective for a middle school.  Tomorrow she will get her class schedule!

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
