The Riley Family

We have been in the house for a little over a week already!  Still no furniture yet, but soon enough.  The truck was supposed to be here tomorrow (Friday, 7/31) but I guess the radiator broke outside of Salt Lake City, and now we are looking at a Monday delivery. Friday would have been much better, but there is nothing to be done but wait. We have been keeping busy exploring the area and getting familiar with the town and roads. We joined the neighborhood pool , Meadow, so have been spending time almost every day swimming.  The kids are surprisingly tan already!  I didn't think they would get tan, but a week in the CA sun has proved me wrong. This week has been exceptionally, unseasonably hot, so we have slowed down on our gardening and hiking.    Today will be much cooler, back into the low 80s. We have never seen as many days of bright blue sky in IL as we have this week in CA.  It really is amazingly beautiful here. Kate has joined a socce...

We started the day with a jelly belly tour, drove past the house, returned the rental car to SFO, took the Bart to Paul's hotel, collected all the things he had already brought to town, drove off in my odyssey and had dinner at IKEA :). Tomorrow morning we get the keys to the house!!

Since this winery is just down the street 10 minutes from the hotel, we went to the Wooden Valley winery today.

Since we can't move into the house until Wednesday we've been staying in a hotel and doing lots of exploring.  Here's a pic from the Marin Headlands. 

We got to spend some time with some of our London friends last week. It was a quick trip to LP Zoo. So fun to see friends!!

He needs to be careful the next coup le of weeks, but Will is done with his cast and brace.
