Cold Day # 2

More baking and hanging out today as we have cold day #2.  I know it is a little early (I think the cats were cold) but the -5 is without any windchill.  Accuweather has us at -9 and -34 with the windchill.  It is dangerously cold.  And I guess we are supposed to get a couple of inches of snow later today.

Scout won't go outside... not sure if he is holding it, or I'm going to find surprises.  Nutley is a bit more brave, but she quickly comes back in.

This second emergency day puts us at June 8th last day of school.  That is a Monday...might as well call a few more snow days this winter!

Paul has been braving the weather to get to the city for work.  Luckily he thought ahead and has lots of warm things - great coats, neck warmers, boots, gloves.... Stay Warm!!

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
