11/13/14 update:
Jim Still in Icu, eating soft food,  a little uncoordinated with hands right now.  Some pain in hip but getting better

11/12/2014 update:
Jim's hip surgery a great success.  He is fully awake and talking. PT  evaluate today.  He remembers everyone who came to see him.  He is excited to go forward now.

11/9/2014 update:
Got here @ 8 ish and his eyes opened.  Jim continues to respond to verbal questions correctly, and wants the TV on low.  Liking the quiet history channel right now.  I have told him briefly what happened to hi and that his ileus is almost resolved.  He is taking 40 ml is tube feeds continuous now.

11/6/2014 update:
CT and EEG didn't show any issues with Dads/Jim's brain. That's good news. Neuro Dr said it takes a lot longer for medicines to clear in older people so he was not surprised that he had not come to consciousness yet. Surgery has been postponed and an MRI is scheduled for next week. Neuro Dr will give him a neuro boosting medicine next week if he doesn't wake up. Fever is down and blood work is all in normal ranges.

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
