Happy 40th!

We had a fantastic time celebrating Paul's birthday!  Food has been the overriding theme....

On Thursday Paul and I drove to the north side of the city for his favorite BBQ, Smoque.  It was a quick trip between Tom's drop off and pickup :).

Friday was the big 4-0 day, and what a perfect way to celebrate with lobsters from our favorite place, the Wells Beach Lobster Pound.  Thank you Mamie and Grandpa!

Today we will  be grilling birthday steaks from Snake River Farms.  It is a specialty butcher Paul learned about during his many hours of interviewing that he has been doing lately.

And there is not a better way to end the big weekend than with Kate playing soccer on Sunday!  She was cleared by her orthopedic doc on Friday afternoon :).

Happy Birthday, Daddy!!

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
