I traded Kate's cast for a boot

I've been training for the Naperville 1/2 Marathon the first week in November.  Two weeks ago after a long run my ankle really started to hurt - like I can't walk on it hurt.  Spent two weeks not running a a step and complaining, along with ice and ibuprofen.  Finally went to the doctor this week and the x-rays show a stress fracture on my fibula at the ankle.  Two weeks in a boot for me.  The boot really helps and most steps are pain free.  Hopefully the healing will go quickly!

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
