a little bit of cabin fever

Personally, I haven't been outside of the house since maybe Saturday.  That was to shovel and go to soccer.  Or maybe that was Sunday for the shoveling... clearly I am losing track of time.  Paul has ventured out this am, he had an eye doctor appointment.  And now at 10:30 am it is only -2, so a big improvement.  I am confident the kids will be back to school tomorrow.  I'll be running some errands and taking down the inside Christmas decorations.  Just too cold to take the tree out today, and I'm not too keen on taking half of them down.  Stay warm!

First Day 4th Grade!

Bye Bye Birdie!

Tom was Ed Sullivan in the production this weekend of Bye Bye Birdie!  Kate donned her sock-hop costume from 5th grade to embrace the spirit of the show. For those of you unfamiliar with the musical,  Bye Bye Birdie is set in 1958 and was influenced by Elvis Presley being drafted into the Army in 1957.    Congrats, Tom!!

100 days left

We have just over 100 days left in the UK.  The kids are super excited to get back to the States, and we are too.  We have had a great time here, but look forward to being 'home'. This is the last week of term, and only term 3 left!  The last term supposedly goes fast, as the weather improves, there are Suzuki concerts, the talent show, and lots of field trips. We have some travel still lined up, plus some visitors to join us - looking forward to seeing you, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Aaron!  Stayed tuned for pictures of our last few adventures. We are starting to get the ball rolling on movers and pet shippers and all that fun stuff.  And we have to have the whole flat cleaned once our stuff is out. One step at a time!
