Trying travel soccer

Kate and Paul just left to go check out a travel soccer team for Kate.  Not even sure that she could get on the team, or if she really wants to.  Soccer is way more competitive than when we were little.  K is one of the best girls on her rec team, but it is just a rec team.  Many girls have moved to travel last year, or even the year before.  Something like this would be 3 hours of practice a week (2 days, 1 1/2 hours) plus travel time and then games/ tournaments on the weekends.  K likes her Wheatland team too.  We will see how today's practice goes.

First Day 4th Grade!

Bye Bye Birdie!

Tom was Ed Sullivan in the production this weekend of Bye Bye Birdie!  Kate donned her sock-hop costume from 5th grade to embrace the spirit of the show. For those of you unfamiliar with the musical,  Bye Bye Birdie is set in 1958 and was influenced by Elvis Presley being drafted into the Army in 1957.    Congrats, Tom!!

100 days left

We have just over 100 days left in the UK.  The kids are super excited to get back to the States, and we are too.  We have had a great time here, but look forward to being 'home'. This is the last week of term, and only term 3 left!  The last term supposedly goes fast, as the weather improves, there are Suzuki concerts, the talent show, and lots of field trips. We have some travel still lined up, plus some visitors to join us - looking forward to seeing you, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Aaron!  Stayed tuned for pictures of our last few adventures. We are starting to get the ball rolling on movers and pet shippers and all that fun stuff.  And we have to have the whole flat cleaned once our stuff is out. One step at a time!
