Waiting on our air shipment

Well, even though it was packed up 12 days ago, we are still waiting on our pile of air shipment things that typically arrives in 7-10 days.  It is filled with the things we wanted right away... a couple of pots and pans, some kitchen things, a computer, assorted toys, paper files, helmets and scooters, and all of our string instruments.  We have had to push back string lessons already, and hope we don't have to cancel a second round, but not sure what the odds are we get the goods before noon on Tuesday :(.

Oddly enough, our sea shipment (all the rest of the house like couch, beds, books, etc) is due into Chicago on Friday.  I'm not sure if it will have already cleared customs by that time, but I imagine it would have gone through that process at the port of entry, and here I am assuming NY or Boston area.

First Day 4th Grade!

Bye Bye Birdie!

Tom was Ed Sullivan in the production this weekend of Bye Bye Birdie!  Kate donned her sock-hop costume from 5th grade to embrace the spirit of the show. For those of you unfamiliar with the musical,  Bye Bye Birdie is set in 1958 and was influenced by Elvis Presley being drafted into the Army in 1957.    Congrats, Tom!!

100 days left

We have just over 100 days left in the UK.  The kids are super excited to get back to the States, and we are too.  We have had a great time here, but look forward to being 'home'. This is the last week of term, and only term 3 left!  The last term supposedly goes fast, as the weather improves, there are Suzuki concerts, the talent show, and lots of field trips. We have some travel still lined up, plus some visitors to join us - looking forward to seeing you, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Aaron!  Stayed tuned for pictures of our last few adventures. We are starting to get the ball rolling on movers and pet shippers and all that fun stuff.  And we have to have the whole flat cleaned once our stuff is out. One step at a time!
