Mostly unpacked

We are almost unpacked!

Despite the fact that the truck was due to the house by 10am on Friday, it didn't arrive until close to 4pm.  It was probably a mistake to have them unpack, but I think we've only seen two small things broken.  The guys had already done a long job before they started ours, so they honestly dumped things anywhere they could.  Their assembly skills were less than adequate.

This morning we need to finish K's room and the master bedroom closet, but those should go pretty fast.  The basement still has a huge amount of bins of out of season clothes I need to sort, and the garage is a big sale or donation waiting to happen, but we will work on those after we get back from Maine.

First Day 4th Grade!

Bye Bye Birdie!

Tom was Ed Sullivan in the production this weekend of Bye Bye Birdie!  Kate donned her sock-hop costume from 5th grade to embrace the spirit of the show. For those of you unfamiliar with the musical,  Bye Bye Birdie is set in 1958 and was influenced by Elvis Presley being drafted into the Army in 1957.    Congrats, Tom!!

100 days left

We have just over 100 days left in the UK.  The kids are super excited to get back to the States, and we are too.  We have had a great time here, but look forward to being 'home'. This is the last week of term, and only term 3 left!  The last term supposedly goes fast, as the weather improves, there are Suzuki concerts, the talent show, and lots of field trips. We have some travel still lined up, plus some visitors to join us - looking forward to seeing you, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Aaron!  Stayed tuned for pictures of our last few adventures. We are starting to get the ball rolling on movers and pet shippers and all that fun stuff.  And we have to have the whole flat cleaned once our stuff is out. One step at a time!
