Harder to see people here in IL

One of the biggest differences between living in London and living here in IL is the ability to see friends.  London is huge, but Hampstead not so much, so almost every time I'd go out on the high street or out to grab a coffee, I'd run into someone and talk for a few minutes.  Here everyone is in their cars, and although I know more people, there is way more space to be in!  So, I haven't seen anyone I know at any of the stores.  Not nearly as fun for someone used to hanging out and chatting over coffee.

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
