The shoulder is much, much better!

Already Will's shoulder has improved dramatically.  He can move his arm in almost a full range of motion, and seems like it is almost all healed.   We are amazed at how fast it is going.  Friday he was in a ton of pain, Saturday still painful, but getting better, and only one dose of pain meds.  But it was still hard to get him to go to Communion and Build a Bear.  Sunday he was using it even more, and he even tried writing.

Will does keep his arm in the sling a lot of the day, but then is using it a ton too in between rest times. He does seem to have a very good understanding of the pain.  Will is just so Will that we can't keep him from being so physical.   And he just doesn't agree with us that we won't let him scooter yet.  We haven't tried viola yet, as bowing has heavy shoulder usage.  His checkup isn't until next Monday, so by then I can't imagine there will be much pain at all, and maybe he will get the all-clear for Sports Day.

First Day 4th Grade!

Bye Bye Birdie!

Tom was Ed Sullivan in the production this weekend of Bye Bye Birdie!  Kate donned her sock-hop costume from 5th grade to embrace the spirit of the show. For those of you unfamiliar with the musical,  Bye Bye Birdie is set in 1958 and was influenced by Elvis Presley being drafted into the Army in 1957.    Congrats, Tom!!

100 days left

We have just over 100 days left in the UK.  The kids are super excited to get back to the States, and we are too.  We have had a great time here, but look forward to being 'home'. This is the last week of term, and only term 3 left!  The last term supposedly goes fast, as the weather improves, there are Suzuki concerts, the talent show, and lots of field trips. We have some travel still lined up, plus some visitors to join us - looking forward to seeing you, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Aaron!  Stayed tuned for pictures of our last few adventures. We are starting to get the ball rolling on movers and pet shippers and all that fun stuff.  And we have to have the whole flat cleaned once our stuff is out. One step at a time!
