Some Stonehenge & Bath pics

Here are some pictures from our trip last weekend to Bath and Stonehenge.  We were very lucky that the rain stopped for the whole 20 minutes we were at Stonehenge.  It was still cold (about 35 and windy) but didn't rain while we looked around, and the light was actually rather pretty for a England spring day.

Bath was much different than we expected, both the city and the Roman baths.  It is a very well planned city, and so all the buildings are lined in a row.  We were expecting quaint British village!

The consensus was that the water from the Bath was pretty gross.  Definitely not our favorite holiday treat :).

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
