Italy trip day 7 - Milan

It's rather difficult to have a great impression of a city when you visit in horrible weather. We like Milan, but a little less rain could be helpful.

We had a very busy day today, starting with DaVinci's Last Supper at 8:30. It is so hard to get tickets, so we are rather lucky. After that we walked through the city stopping at the Castle, the Scala square, and of course the Duomo. It was a long day even though we ended our tour early due to the wet weather. Tomorrow we will go to Mass at the Duomo then catch an afternoon flight to London.

The picture of the Last Supper is a photo. The original work is so closely monitored hey don't even let the temperature change in the room, but make people wait in multiple chambers before hand. The second pic is the Pieta by Michelangelo

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
