Italy trip day 1 - Rome

This morning we were ready for car our car, but it didn't show up despite reserving last night. We tried to hailo (an easy way to get a cab in London) but no drivers accepted our fare. So we walked towards train station and caught a taxi on the way. We got to Victoria station literally 1 minute too late for the Gatwick express but luckily got a non-express 10 minutes later.

Our flight was about 45 minutes late to depart, mostly from added time with de-icing. The flight was easy and we are in Rome. Pizza, noodles, gelato and red wine for the adults. We love Italy!

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
