Middle East trip day 7 - Jerusalem

We are in Jerusalem! The border crossing on the Allenby Bridge was easier than we expected but we had pre-booked a VIP service. Even so, there were checks every few hundred feet or so. And then we drove through the West Bank to Jerusalem.

It is a beautiful day in Jerusalem, 72 and sunny. After we rest from our 4 hour car ride and our border crossing, we will walk down to the pedestrian area for lunch. We are staying at the King David hotel and we have amazing views of the Old City. This is a perfect ending to our amazing Middle East adventure. Tomorrow we will explore Jerusalem. Saturday we drive to Tel Aviv with stops along the way, and a late flight to London.

First Day 4th Grade!

Bye Bye Birdie!

Tom was Ed Sullivan in the production this weekend of Bye Bye Birdie!  Kate donned her sock-hop costume from 5th grade to embrace the spirit of the show. For those of you unfamiliar with the musical,  Bye Bye Birdie is set in 1958 and was influenced by Elvis Presley being drafted into the Army in 1957.    Congrats, Tom!!

100 days left

We have just over 100 days left in the UK.  The kids are super excited to get back to the States, and we are too.  We have had a great time here, but look forward to being 'home'. This is the last week of term, and only term 3 left!  The last term supposedly goes fast, as the weather improves, there are Suzuki concerts, the talent show, and lots of field trips. We have some travel still lined up, plus some visitors to join us - looking forward to seeing you, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Aaron!  Stayed tuned for pictures of our last few adventures. We are starting to get the ball rolling on movers and pet shippers and all that fun stuff.  And we have to have the whole flat cleaned once our stuff is out. One step at a time!
