Egypt day 8

Today is our last day in Egypt and it will be busy. We are starting at 8am local (6 gmt, midnight central) for tours of Karnak and Luxor temples.

Next we have a local flight Luxor to Cairo that should take about one hour. We will then need to collect our bags and re- check in for our long flight to London. We get in around 8pm GMT (10 Egypt) but by the time we collect bags, queue in passport control and get a ride to Hampstead, it will be around 10pm. At least school doesn't start until Monday! We will have a few days to settle in.

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
