Egypt day 7

This morning we explored the West Bank of the Nile in Luxor. We saw the Tombs of Ramses and King Tut. We had already seen all of King Tut's things in the Cairo museum.

Then we went to the temple of a queen. And then the tombs of the workers. Everything is so amazing to see.

We bought a few things at an alabaster store and then we went on a donkey tide. The kids prefer donkeys to camels.

We had been planning an afternoon at the pool but just realised that we seem to have left three swim suits at the hotel in Aswan. We found replacements after our tour this morning.

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
