Food differences

Clearly there are many foods that are different in the UK from the US.  But some are surprisingly the same, and some have the same name but a different product, and some a different name but the same product.  Here are some we have noticed... I'll try to add to this list.

Same product - different name
  • Windex v. Windowlene
  • Frosted Flakes v. Frosties
  • Cat Chow v. Go Cat
  • Dog  chow v. Bakers Complete (I think)
  •

Same general product - but a twist
  • Eggs - orange yolks, and not refrigerated
  • beef - totally different taste and cuts

Same name - different product
  • Special K - Flakes and the red berries are different

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
