New dog trainer

Scout and I have a new trainer we are working with, and it is awesome.  Here's her FB page.  She watched Scout and the kittens this past weekend while we were in Disney, and today Scout, Tom and I went on a 2 hour walk with all sorts of situations.

I knew going in that I was probably the problem, not Scout, and sure enough that is the case.  Val is teaching me how to walk successfully with S, to be calm with him, and to not be nervous - which makes him nervous.  We had a very productive time!

I'll spend the next 2 weeks trying to remember these key points, and we will meet again to keep correcting my behavior :).

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
