K's doctor appointment

I took Kate to the doctor yesterday because she has been having dizzy spells at school. Even Mamie and Grandpa witnessed one at Kew Gardens.  I had a hunch that it was all related to low blood sugar, and the doctor agrees.  We are going to work on making sure K has enough time to eat her snack and lunch at school, and to send her with an additional easy to eat snack that she can keep right in her tray at school.

We really liked our new doctor.  Very old school office - really just an office, lots of toys, and happened to have an exam table in the corner, but we didn't have to use it.  He took K's blood pressure and heart rate just sitting in a comfy chair.  He also makes house calls!

First Day 4th Grade!

Bye Bye Birdie!

Tom was Ed Sullivan in the production this weekend of Bye Bye Birdie!  Kate donned her sock-hop costume from 5th grade to embrace the spirit of the show. For those of you unfamiliar with the musical,  Bye Bye Birdie is set in 1958 and was influenced by Elvis Presley being drafted into the Army in 1957.    Congrats, Tom!!

100 days left

We have just over 100 days left in the UK.  The kids are super excited to get back to the States, and we are too.  We have had a great time here, but look forward to being 'home'. This is the last week of term, and only term 3 left!  The last term supposedly goes fast, as the weather improves, there are Suzuki concerts, the talent show, and lots of field trips. We have some travel still lined up, plus some visitors to join us - looking forward to seeing you, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Aaron!  Stayed tuned for pictures of our last few adventures. We are starting to get the ball rolling on movers and pet shippers and all that fun stuff.  And we have to have the whole flat cleaned once our stuff is out. One step at a time!
