Sweden last weekend

I can't remember exactly how we decided on Stockholm, but we had a fun time in Sweden this past weekend.  We flew out on Friday night but it was probably a little too late giventh e 1 hour time change against us too.

The flight on Norwegian Air was pretty cool with the free wifi.  But the stewards were rather crabby.  And with most low cost European airlines, you have to pay for everything.

We stayed at the Radisson and it was nice.  Nothing specatular, but comfortable.  On Saturday we explored the Old Town with the Palace and cool old buildings and then went over to the Vasa Museum on another of the islands I think they call them.  The kids were a little tired from the walking and the late Friday night, so we then went back to the room to check out the pool.  BURR!!  I guess we aren't used to the Norwegian water temperature.

Sunday we spent exploring the more touristy areas, trying traditional Swedish food and just walking around.  It was a nice trip, and fun to see a totally different part of Europe.  Pictures soon.

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
