1 week until school!

The kids received their teacher assignments and class lists this weekend!  Kate has 14 children in her class, the boys both have 16.  The size is much smaller for K & J, but actually bigger for W.  But since he will be in school full time, not 2 1/1 hours, it should even out :).

There are American students in everyone's class, as well as students from many other countries.

They are all thrilled to start school.  We have orientation on Friday, K & J start on Monday, and W will start on Tuesday.

First Day 4th Grade!

Orinda Country Cotillion

The Orinda Country  Cotillion  is a forty year community tradition sponsoring a series of seven evening dance classes and welcomes all seventh graders in Orinda.  The boys are girls are both broken into two sections, so every other dance is with the opposite boy group. Two of the dances are themed (a sock hop and country -western) and the rest are semi-formal.  Last night was the first dance in the seven dance series.  Kate and her friend Zoe had a great time.  They learned the fox trot and a line dance.  Seemed like fun!
