Swim Lessons - Testing today

This morning we have the placement test for swim lessons.  It is very quick, and the lifeguards have the kids jump in one at a time and show what they can do.  I'll post levels later.  They will have 8 days of lessons over the next two weeks (M, T, Th, F).

Last year I think W was white, J, red or maybe even yellow at the end, and K was blue or orange or something... K was very lucky last year last session and no other students were in her level.  Best deal ever, 8 private 30 min lessons for $50.  The beginning levels are always more full. And kids often move to swim team once they get past Jack's level.

Kate - Highest level.  Looks like she might be only student.
Jack - Yellow, third level.
Will -Red, second level.

First Day 4th Grade!

Bye Bye Birdie!

Tom was Ed Sullivan in the production this weekend of Bye Bye Birdie!  Kate donned her sock-hop costume from 5th grade to embrace the spirit of the show. For those of you unfamiliar with the musical,  Bye Bye Birdie is set in 1958 and was influenced by Elvis Presley being drafted into the Army in 1957.    Congrats, Tom!!

100 days left

We have just over 100 days left in the UK.  The kids are super excited to get back to the States, and we are too.  We have had a great time here, but look forward to being 'home'. This is the last week of term, and only term 3 left!  The last term supposedly goes fast, as the weather improves, there are Suzuki concerts, the talent show, and lots of field trips. We have some travel still lined up, plus some visitors to join us - looking forward to seeing you, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Aaron!  Stayed tuned for pictures of our last few adventures. We are starting to get the ball rolling on movers and pet shippers and all that fun stuff.  And we have to have the whole flat cleaned once our stuff is out. One step at a time!
