No Hot Lunch!!

I am really not sure how I missed this, but I just realized that there is no hot lunch at the new school!  No hot lunch!  I knew about the lunch program at the other schools, but couldn't seem to remember about this one.  Would it have been a deal breaker?  I guess not, but wow, I am nervous.

As you may know, K and J both buy hot lunch everyday.  Everyday! But I still have to pack a snack for them.  Now I will need to pack 3 lunches and 3 snacks.  I know, I know, not a huge deal, right?  But still a big change (not like the lunch is the biggest change here, I get it).

So we went to Target yesterday and picked out a new Thermos for everyone.  And some nifty sandwich holders with ice packs built in.  And we have our lunch boxes... now just need to plan what to bring.  No peanuts allowed, sorry Will, aka Mr. 3 PB&Js a day.

First Day 4th Grade!

Bye Bye Birdie!

Tom was Ed Sullivan in the production this weekend of Bye Bye Birdie!  Kate donned her sock-hop costume from 5th grade to embrace the spirit of the show. For those of you unfamiliar with the musical,  Bye Bye Birdie is set in 1958 and was influenced by Elvis Presley being drafted into the Army in 1957.    Congrats, Tom!!

100 days left

We have just over 100 days left in the UK.  The kids are super excited to get back to the States, and we are too.  We have had a great time here, but look forward to being 'home'. This is the last week of term, and only term 3 left!  The last term supposedly goes fast, as the weather improves, there are Suzuki concerts, the talent show, and lots of field trips. We have some travel still lined up, plus some visitors to join us - looking forward to seeing you, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Aaron!  Stayed tuned for pictures of our last few adventures. We are starting to get the ball rolling on movers and pet shippers and all that fun stuff.  And we have to have the whole flat cleaned once our stuff is out. One step at a time!
