Trying G Diapers

I had been thinking about using cloth diapers before Will was born, but ended up sticking with disposables. I had used a diaper service (pre-folds) for only a few weeks when Kate was first born, and quickly switched. But I have been wanting to get back to cloth, and had been looking at the all in ones, like bum genius. Another idea that Auntie Sarah had told us about is the G Diaper.

So we finally got a starter set at this cute little store in downtown Naperville, Unique Bowtique. The diapers are pretty cool, a combination of cloth and disposable. We just have one problem... Will hates them! He screams and screams and tries to pull it off whenever we try his new diaper. We will keep trying, but we are not off to a good start.

First Day 4th Grade!

Bye Bye Birdie!

Tom was Ed Sullivan in the production this weekend of Bye Bye Birdie!  Kate donned her sock-hop costume from 5th grade to embrace the spirit of the show. For those of you unfamiliar with the musical,  Bye Bye Birdie is set in 1958 and was influenced by Elvis Presley being drafted into the Army in 1957.    Congrats, Tom!!

100 days left

We have just over 100 days left in the UK.  The kids are super excited to get back to the States, and we are too.  We have had a great time here, but look forward to being 'home'. This is the last week of term, and only term 3 left!  The last term supposedly goes fast, as the weather improves, there are Suzuki concerts, the talent show, and lots of field trips. We have some travel still lined up, plus some visitors to join us - looking forward to seeing you, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Aaron!  Stayed tuned for pictures of our last few adventures. We are starting to get the ball rolling on movers and pet shippers and all that fun stuff.  And we have to have the whole flat cleaned once our stuff is out. One step at a time!
