Update 9/17/2008

Thank God it stopped raining!  This weekend was a total washout.  Luckily no water damage to us, but we have neighbors with a broken sump-pump and a flooded basement!

Kate - is good!  Keeping busy with gymnastics and school.  I think it is hard for her to have to make all new friends at school - she was so used to last year's class.  She gets *very* tired from her 1 1/2 with Coach Joan at gymnastics, and is very irritable the rest of the day on Tuesdays.  K's cartwheels are getting very good, and she can do a back walkover on an incline!

Jack - really wants to go to school too.  He goes into K's classroom every day and starts playing.  He calls the building his school when we drive past Wheatland Salem school.  We remind him that he has to use the potty to go to school... not sure if that is really helping, but coupled with the Scooby Snack treats, and chart for a new toy, he is starting to use the potty again.

Will - Still not sleeping very well.  He is waking up a ton at night and wakes himself up completely since he automatically stands up in his crib!  I have also caught him trying to stand up on the bumpers, so those might need to come back out!

First Day 4th Grade!

Bye Bye Birdie!

Tom was Ed Sullivan in the production this weekend of Bye Bye Birdie!  Kate donned her sock-hop costume from 5th grade to embrace the spirit of the show. For those of you unfamiliar with the musical,  Bye Bye Birdie is set in 1958 and was influenced by Elvis Presley being drafted into the Army in 1957.    Congrats, Tom!!

100 days left

We have just over 100 days left in the UK.  The kids are super excited to get back to the States, and we are too.  We have had a great time here, but look forward to being 'home'. This is the last week of term, and only term 3 left!  The last term supposedly goes fast, as the weather improves, there are Suzuki concerts, the talent show, and lots of field trips. We have some travel still lined up, plus some visitors to join us - looking forward to seeing you, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Aaron!  Stayed tuned for pictures of our last few adventures. We are starting to get the ball rolling on movers and pet shippers and all that fun stuff.  And we have to have the whole flat cleaned once our stuff is out. One step at a time!
