Update 4/23/2008

Kate - has a princess-themed birthday party to go to this Saturday (seems a common theme with the 4-year old girls).  Her friend Emma has let Kate borrow her Barbie Island Princess dress, and Kate is always trying it on!  And when she isn't wearing it, it is carefully placed in the laundry room along with her shoes, earrings, and crown for the party! She went to bring a friend day at Clare's ballet class today and really enjoyed it.  We might look for a ballet class this summer.

Jack continues to talk more and more, and likes to put together sentences.  Lately it was bye bye mulch guys, daddy home, and plenty of other things I can't think of now.   He is nearly obsessed with tractors, especially cranes and excavators.  He can say crane pretty clearly!

Will - is ticklish!  He can giggle and laugh really well now, and he sounds exactly like Jack.  He is ticklish under his chin and on his tummy :).  We will be moving to size 3 diapers in the next few days.

Paul and Anjie - We finally bought patio furniture this year, and it was delivered today.  We had a picnic lunch outside, and will be using the furniture nearly daily!  We seem to have skipped spring so far, and went ahead to summer.  It has been 75 and sunny all week!  The mud pit is supposed to be fixed early next week, with the utility marking guy coming out tomorrow.

First Day 4th Grade!

Bye Bye Birdie!

Tom was Ed Sullivan in the production this weekend of Bye Bye Birdie!  Kate donned her sock-hop costume from 5th grade to embrace the spirit of the show. For those of you unfamiliar with the musical,  Bye Bye Birdie is set in 1958 and was influenced by Elvis Presley being drafted into the Army in 1957.    Congrats, Tom!!

100 days left

We have just over 100 days left in the UK.  The kids are super excited to get back to the States, and we are too.  We have had a great time here, but look forward to being 'home'. This is the last week of term, and only term 3 left!  The last term supposedly goes fast, as the weather improves, there are Suzuki concerts, the talent show, and lots of field trips. We have some travel still lined up, plus some visitors to join us - looking forward to seeing you, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Aaron!  Stayed tuned for pictures of our last few adventures. We are starting to get the ball rolling on movers and pet shippers and all that fun stuff.  And we have to have the whole flat cleaned once our stuff is out. One step at a time!
