Update 3/4/2008

What's new at the Riley house this week... well, it sure isn't spring yet! Another week of 30 degrees for a high, and snow forecast every day. We will see if we actually get any accumulation.

Kate will be 4 this month, and she is practically counting down the days. She is just thrilled to be turning 4! Mrs. E, her preschool teacher, was out all last week, and K really missed her. Kate made her 3 different cards. Kate's ABCs have really improved lately, and she enjoys writing words out. We are working on phonics and sounding out words/letters, but that will take time.

Jack is as daring and adventurous as ever. He has been climbing a lot more lately, especially into the bathtub, sinks, and going outside by himself. The funniest thing is that he will go get mittens and then go outside in footy jammies. Like a pair of mittens are going to keep him warm when it is 20!

Happy 6 weeks to Will. He is getting bigger every day :). He has started smiling, which is great to see. I think he looks a lot like Jack - the baby pictures are hard to distinguish, but of course he will change a ton over the next year. My friends all think his eyes are blue, but maybe they will still turn.

Scout will be 1 next week, and we have started taking him jogging. He just loves to go running!

Hope to post some pictures later today.

First Day 4th Grade!

Bye Bye Birdie!

Tom was Ed Sullivan in the production this weekend of Bye Bye Birdie!  Kate donned her sock-hop costume from 5th grade to embrace the spirit of the show. For those of you unfamiliar with the musical,  Bye Bye Birdie is set in 1958 and was influenced by Elvis Presley being drafted into the Army in 1957.    Congrats, Tom!!

100 days left

We have just over 100 days left in the UK.  The kids are super excited to get back to the States, and we are too.  We have had a great time here, but look forward to being 'home'. This is the last week of term, and only term 3 left!  The last term supposedly goes fast, as the weather improves, there are Suzuki concerts, the talent show, and lots of field trips. We have some travel still lined up, plus some visitors to join us - looking forward to seeing you, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Aaron!  Stayed tuned for pictures of our last few adventures. We are starting to get the ball rolling on movers and pet shippers and all that fun stuff.  And we have to have the whole flat cleaned once our stuff is out. One step at a time!
