Kate tried the big girl gymnastics class

Since Kate was the only student in her 3-year old class last week, she got to join the 4-6 year olds for class. It looked a lot harder, but Kate seemed to enjoy the challenge. Unfortunately, they won't let her move up in class until she turns 4, but perhaps she will have a couple more opportunities to try the class.

Getting ready for Christmas

This past weekend we decorated for Christmas with a tree, lights and fun decorations. The kids had a good time getting everything ready. Once again our nativity set and advent calendar are the favorite 'toys' of the season! Some pics at Picasa .

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a really nice Thanksgiving day yesterday, and of course ate a ton of food. Auntie Chris, Jason and Grandpa Bill came up, and our friends from next door came over for dessert. Some pics at Picasa .

A fun visit with Mamie

Mamie spent a few days with us this week, and it was great to see her! She had been helping James and Thaphne move to LA, and stopped by to see us on the way home. Kate and Mamie made pumpkin bread, and of course played a ton. Mamie will be back out in just a couple of months to help us get ready for the new baby! Some pics at Picasa .

Jack has gone pee on the potty!

He actually used the potty 3 times today, and 2 times a couple of days ago. Just like Kate when she first started using it, he is sooo happy and excited when he uses the potty. He doesn't say when he has to go, but if we ask him, he knows what to do when he gets there. Still a long way from undies, but a good first step.

Happy Halloween

We had a great time yesterday Trick or Treating with all of our friends. The chickens seemed to really enjoy themselves! It was a beautiful day, so we spent some time raking and playing in the leaves in the morning. Pictures at Picasa .

Preschool Halloween Party

Kate had her Halloween party at school on Tuesday. It was so cute to see all the little ones dressed up. I hadn't been in Kate's classroom since the first day, so it was great to be able to see her go about her day... wash hands, put up her name tag, sit down to play games. Here are also some other pictures at Picasa from the last couple of days, including trying on winter hats!
