Last week's pics at Picasa!

New album

Rain, rain, go away

It is almost like living in Florida here! It has been raining everyday since Friday, and it is soooo humid. At least the past two days the rain has been falling only early in the morning, so we have gotten out to play a little bit.

Greg's & Oriana 's wedding

We went down to Pekin, IL this past weekend for the wedding of Anjie's stepbrother, Greg. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding. Of course it was hot, but we still had a great time hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa G. Pictures at Picasa .

Happy 16 months to Jack

Jack is now 16 months old. He has quite the personality, and tries to climb everything! The other day when I was cleaning up from dinner I heard him calling me, so went in to the living room to check. Not sure how he did it, but he was sitting on the top shelf of Kate's dollhouse!

Latest things

Here are the latest updates... - Jack has started blowing on his food to cool it off - very funny! - Jack LOVES his big boy bed and has been sleeping in it all night - Kate went down the slide at the pool 6 times in a row yesterday! (I catch her at the bottom) - Scout lost 2 teeth yesterday (his puppy teeth have been falling out for about a month, but this is the first time we have found them)

New neighbors!

Our new neighbors across the court are moving in tomorrow. We have met them briefly, but it will be great to get to know them. They have 3 kids, Griffin (8), Ethan (5) and Emma (3). Kate is thrilled to have another 3 year old in the neighborhood. And she is equally pleased that she gets to make cupcakes tomorrow for everyone!

One more piano class

Kate's last piano class is next week. I think we will take some time off, but perhaps find a new music class this winter. In the fall Kate will continue gymnastics, and also has a couple of 6-week classes through the park district, one about numbers, the other building things. Should be fun!

Jack's vocabulary

His words aren't perfect, but Jack's vocabulary is growing. He loves to say bye-bye and wave to people. Mama and Dada are very good. He tends to call all dogs 'good-dog' which is fine. He is pretty good at Bella, but doesn't really have a word for Kate. He will say he is sorry :).

Private gymnastics lessons lately

For the past 3 weeks, Kate has had private lessons with coach Luna! For some reason the other 2 kids in her class haven't been there. So Kate has been learning a ton, and working hard! She is very tired by the end because she doesn't have any downtime to rest. We have signed her up for the next session with Luna again, this time on Friday mornings.

A quick trip to the QCA

Kate, Jack and I went to the Quad Cities to see my friend from high school, Emily. It was nice to hang out and see everyone, and Kate got to play with Em's kids. After that we went over to the farm to see what Uncle Henry was up to. Grandpa Bill is out of town this week as Uncle Matt is graduating from the police academy - congrats!
